This site showcases information and links that may benefit those looking to buy or build custom stained glass, and includes examples of my past work and stained glass items currently for sale. Pages on the history of stained glass, stained glass transom windows, and stained glass construction techniques have recently been added. A stained glass design page and stained glass pattern page should present extensive design ideas for the buyer or builder to aid in the design of your stained glass transom or window. Your suggestions to improve this site will be appreciated.

For over 30 years, I have designed and built stained glass art. My creations are varied... some very traditional and some very fanciful.
CUSTOM BUILT STAINED GLASS
As much as I would like to claim to be a stained glass artist, I'm really more of a craftsman. The "construction phase"...turning sheets of glass into a finished window is my passion. I prefer the "copper foil method" of stained glass construction as used by the famous Tiffany Studios. This method allows narrower lines and more intricate designs than typical lead came construction. I particularly like to work with opalescent glass and always enjoy the challenge of a new stained glass project, especially something unique. I take on only 8 - 10 projects a year, one at a time. The thrill is in working with people...taking that idea, creating that design, and turning it into totally unique stained glass window.
I've always loved the way sunlight shining through colored glass lights a room. Every home should have at least one stained glass window facing the sun. Many new homebuilders are rediscovering stained glass transoms, along with bath & accent windows, to add an element of color and personality to their homes. Factory built bevel doors and windows are beautiful, but rarely unique. With stained glass, you can create an infinite number of color and design options and enjoy a stained glass window that is truly unique. If you have an idea for a specific stained glass project, or if I can help with a design idea for a specific area opening...email me. From a traditional Victorian transom window to a fanciful free-form stained glass design, maybe I can help. Thanks for visiting!
I'm a "one man studio" in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama. No big overhead, no payroll...just one guy with a desire to make beautiful glass and looking for that next big challenge.
