Bob and Arlene called me from New Jersey with a rather unique idea for a window. I have built several windows for them in the past, so I really looked forward to working with them again. They had a small casement window that looked out to a neighbor's house (below). Wanting a little privacy, and to cover the dated window, they came up with a great idea.
To the right are 2 pictures of this window in different lighting conditions. The Pond on Rainflower Lane measures about 16" x 34", contains 137 pieces of glass and was completed in July of 2013. It is now living in Princeton Junction, New Jersey, where it overlooks Bob and Arlene's pond.
They have a small pond behind their house and said they listen to frogs every night. Of course, we also had to add a water lily, cattails, lily pads and a couple of irises to complete the picture. Bob sent a few photos to help my creativity, and the design just seem to evolve quickly. They really do live on Rainflower Lane, so I can't imagine a more poetic name for their window than "The Pond on Rainflower Lane"
