Dean's Stained Glass
At the close of 2018 I challenged myself to build a Gothic arch window by year's end. The project was quite challenging, particularly building the frame. To the right is the finished window, measuring 18" x 36" in it's finished frame. I built 2 other frames at the same time, both made of knotty pine, so now I had a reason to build another Gothic arch window! See the full story of this window at:
Dean's Stained Glass
Since I already had frames, and a basic concept to work with, I decided to build a cross as the central element in a Victorian inspired Gothic arch window. My wife builds stained glass crosses that she sells at "In the Company of Angels", a unique shop in Fairhope, Alabama that specializes in Christian hand made goods. Thanks to the owner, Diane, I have always been able to display a stained glass window in the window of her shop, so I really wanted to come up with a special design. On the right is my simple but boldly colored Victorian style design. I love the red glass for the cross. It is from a glass manufacturer that went out of business over 3 decades ago.
This Gothic Arch Cross was completed in February, 2019, contains 89 pieces of glass and measures 18" x 36" in it's whitewashed knotty pine frame. The window is currently hanging in the "In the Company of Angels" shop in Fairhope, Alabama.
Price of this window is $1075. I can ship this window anywhere in the US for a nominal wood crate fee + actual UPS/Fedex shipping.
