In mid 2019, we started building a new house based on an English Tudor design that we call the"Ivy Cottage Project". Being our "dream house", we have planned for years to incorporate many unique features and opportunities for stained glass.

The finished Gothic Arch window is now installed in our new master bath. This window measures 32 1/2" x 56 1/4", contains 204 pieces of glass and was completed in October, 2019.
We have tried to create an unusual master bath with two stained glass windows .... a 3' x 5' Gothic Arch window and a large transom over the shower. The design ideas, and glass used in the 2 windows, are meant to compliment each other.
The design had to fit a standard factory made vinyl window unit so that the stained glass would be protected from the elements by a clear glass hurricane rated window.
We installed a 5 W LED spotlight to illuminate this window at night
As much as I would like to create a design "from scratch", I do borrow ideas from other window designs. The lower part of my window was inspired by the window on the right.
Some of the Victorian vines/scrollwork for the top part of my window were inspired by the window on the right.

I designed a complimentary stained glass transom window to fit above the master bath shower. This window measures about 16 x 56 inches.
