Dean's Stained Glass
In mid 2019, we started building a new home we called "The Ivy Cottage Project", based on an English Tudor style design. Being our "dream house," we planned for years to incorporate many unique features and opportunities for stained glass. 24 months later, after Covid 19 and Hurricane Sally, we finally moved in!

The Ivy Cottage Project
Back in 2018 we found on Facebook marketplace an Edwardian Period window (English 1901-1914) that we wanted to incorporate into a half bath in our projected new home. Luckily, it was unbroken, but was pretty nasty and needed 2 days of extensive cleaning and repainting. It was then packed up in a crate for 4 years and waited for it's opportunity to shine. Finally, in February of 2022, after finishing our new house, we were able to get it installed in our half bath where, hopefully, it will shine for it's next 100 years. I was able to complete the installation myself thanks to training from the excellent trim carpenter who I assisted in the construction of our house! The window measures approximately 24" x 48". Although a fairly common period window, it is in remarkably good shape and really compliments a 100 year antique English door (below), also in our house.
Before and after installation pictures of this window in a half bath in our new home. Note how well the colors go with the Edwardian set of oak doors we were lucky enough to find for our Dining room doors.
