Third Bath Transom - Dean's Stained Glass

In mid 2019, we started building a new home we called " The Ivy Cottage Project", based on an English Tudor style design. Being our "dream house", we planned for years to incorporate many unique features and opportunities for stained glass. 24 months later, after Covid-19 and Hurricane Sally, we finally moved in!

In January 2022, I finished building a window for the third bathroom in our new home. This is the first Art Nouveau inspired window I have built in decades ...... my wife just insisted we have birds in the bathroom. As this window faces the morning sun, the bevel border and jewels should give us some impressive rainbow effects. The background glass is antique white streaky translucent glass to afford a little privacy. Like all the transoms in our home, this stained glass piece is installed into an exterior vinyl transom window and trimmed out with vinyl quarter round. Installed in January of 2022, this transom measures about 16" x 32" and contains 147 pieces of glass.
