Matthew & Lauren's Window - Stained Glass Transom

Matthew is my nephew. He joined the Navy out of school and spent a tour on the USS John C Stennis, spent a little time overseas and had a real tough duty tour in Hawaii. Being handsome, swashbuckling and devil-may-care..... Matthew was living the single man's dream!. His sensible family had just about given up hope on Matthew finding a nice girl and settling down! But the story continues........

Since Matthew is a physical fitness nut, one day he visited a local gym with a rock climbing wall. Lauren, a cute young brunette was his rock climbing advisor. She must have out performed him at climbing the wall, because she sure caught his attention. A bit of a fitness nut herself, she seems to be the perfect match for Matthew. The family is excited that he found a smart, attractive, self made woman to complete his life! We welcome her to our nutty family!

Matthew & Lauren's Window was built as a wedding present for Matthew & Lauren to hang in their apartment in Columbia, Maryland. It measures about 18" x 28" and contains 50 pieces of glass. The BC-315 central bevel cluster is surrounded by a Waterglass background, a band of clear granite back glass with clear jewels, and then an outside row of 1 1/2" bevels. The frame is built from Radiata Pine from New Zealand and stained with a cherry finish. Matthew & Lauren's Window was completed in May, 2015.
