The following drawings and patterns may aid in the design of your stained glass creation. An almost infinite number of new design possibilities can come from combining various elements of these and other designs. When people call and say they like this feature of one drawing and another feature of another drawing, it helps me focus in on how to design what the customer wants.
DEAN'S STAINED GLASS
Bevel Cluster Inserts:
Factory made bevel sets often used as the central element in stained glass transoms, doors and windows. Custom beveling is so time consuming and costly that most glass artists and studios use pre-made beveled glass in their designs to make their work more affordable. There are hundreds of different bevel cluster sets available that can be incorporated into larger design. Below are a few examples of some smaller bevel cluster sets.
The patterns presented here have been collected from a number of sources and are used to show some of the design possibilities of stained glass. None of the patterns on this page are my original patterns.
The designs below, highlighted in blue, are some of my favorite examples of classic Victorian stained glass design. They are from the book "Victorian Stained Glass For Today" by Bill Hillman. In this book, the author discusses Victorian glass design fundamentals in detail, as well as showing over a hundred examples of classic Victorian stained glass designs. The designs below are copyrighted designs and are reproduced here with the gracious permission of the author.
