Cindyann's Transom
Rick contacted me about building a transom for his 1916 Craftsman style bungalow in Tracy, California. He and his wife had just purchased it and had begun a complete restoration.
Their goal was to completely restore the house similar to the restored Craftsman style house above.
They really liked Jim's Transom that I built several years ago....even down to the same exact glass colors. Their transom opening was about the same height as Jim's Transom but was about 10" longer, so we had to do a little redesigning to fit. The drawing below reflects the changes we made for the extra length.
Above is our finished transom, and as I write this , it is on its way to Tracy, California. Cindyann's Transom measures approximately 12 3/4" x 65 3/4", contains about 128 pieces of glass and was completed in August, 2012.
