In mid 2019, we started building a new home we called "The Ivy Cottage Project" based on an English Tudor style design. Being our "dream house," we have planned for years to incorporate many unique features and opportunities for stained glass. 24 months later, after Covid 19 and Hurricane Sally, we finally moved in!

In April 2022, I finished a classic Victorian styled stained glass window for a guest bedroom in our new home. Since this high transom faces the morning sun, I used a clear beveled border, clear center bevel set and 20 colored jewels to create some serious rainbow and sparkle effects. I am still amazed at how beautiful sunlight is when seen through stained and beveled glass windows!
Finished in April 2022, this stained glass transom window measures 16" x 56" and contains 172 pieces of glass. It was designed to complement the colors and design of a transom in the adjoining bathroom.

The background glass under the arch is from a multi-color sheet of glass I bought 40+ years ago (Armstrong 1467S) ..... and have been saving for that “special project”!
