After we completed Marlene's Herons, Marlene showed me two bathroom windows that had nice older pieces of stained glass from a previous house installed in them. The top of each window was open so the sun came in unfiltered.... see left example. She wanted a piece built, similar to the original, that would shield some of the sun from coming in. I was able to find a small bevel set to start a design.
Each of Marlene's Windows measures about 18" x 35", contains 66 pieces of glass and was completed in April, 2025.

I used the above bevel set in the center, added an outside beveled border, created a clear textured glass inner band and then used clear glue chip glass as a background around the bevel set .... just as in the original windows. I also added 12 large clear faceted jewels that will certainly create some rainbow like colors in the room.
