Billy contacted me about building a Mariner's Compass Rose for a gable window in his riverfront home in neighboring Bon Secour, Alabama. This is one of those rare situations where I can do the initial measuring for the glass, then actually get to install the glass myself. We discussed colors & glass textures up front and Billy made some great glass choices. He has direct morning sun coming in this window so he picked some bold colors to light up his entryway.
Billy was a fascinating guy to work with. He has a second home in Belize that he frequently visits and is an avid collector of nautical items, notably brass .... portholes, nautical fittings, lanterns, etc.

We originally discussed his stained glass back in August, but with his world travels and my time with my 4 1/2 year old grand daughter, our project wasn't completed until the next May. Thankfully, Billy is a very patient guy and was great to work with!

Billy's Compass Rose measures about 20" x 23.5", contains 110 pieces of glass and was completed in May of 2025.
